Dead Space Ignition, EA‘s upcoming downloadable to release this fall, was announced earlier this month. At yesterday’s studio showcase, EA revealed all about the title. Turns out, it’s an interactive comic prequel with three mini-games.
Players step into the shoes of an engineer named Franco. The comic will allow players to chose their own path and by the end, uncover one of four endings. Each ending unlocks a special item, such as a suit, for Issac in Dead Space 2. There are plenty of points in the game where something happens causing one of the three mini-games to commence. These include “Hardware Crack”, where players are reflecting colored lasers to the goal, “System Override”, a basic version of tower defense, and a racing game using Franco’s hacking device.
