TerRover bringing all-terrain vehicular physics to PSN
Oh look. Another new PlayStation Network game was announced today. That’s not new.
The latest announcement, after the About A Blob and Malicious cases, comes from Sony Online Entertainment in partnership with Creat Studios. The all-terrain vehicle game in development is called TerRover.
TerRover is an over forty-stage long title of navigating through various terrains in a rover vehicle. Each terrain is different, so the player must use all the vehicle’s functions in order to overcome the obstacles the game will present.
The game will have three local multiplayer modes for up to four people to partake. Naturally, leaderboards and trophies are in, as well.
The game will be on display at Sony’s E3 booth next week. We’ll be sure to check it out. For now, check out the debut shots at the gallery.
SONY ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT AND CREAT STUDIOS TAKE PLAYERS ACROSS NEW TERRAIN WITH TERROVERTM ON THE PLAYSTATION®NETWORK
SAN DIEGO, Calif. June 11, 2010 – Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) and independent developer Creat Studios are working together to bring TerRoverTM, a highly stylized, physics based all-terrain vehicle game, to the PlayStation®Network. TerRover is scheduled for release this summer and will make its public debut at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles from June 15-17 in the Sony Online Entertainment booth, #4600.
TerRover launches players into a surreal mash-up of unique cartoon graphics and a 2-D physics universe available exclusively on the PlayStation Network. TerRover’s gameplay is based on navigating a terrain rover through over forty stages of puzzling arcade levels in five different vivid 2-D art styles including the icy vistas of Congelata, the all-tech surfaces of Mechanica, the strange vegetation and terrains of Acor and Aura, and the treacherous volcanoes and lava of Volcanus! Drivers must use the vehicle’s wheel rotation, pivot center, gravity system and various weapons to overcome challenging obstacles and barriers. TerRover features three local multiplayer modes for up to four people, leaderboards and PlayStation Network trophies.
