Team ICO “hard at work” on The Last Guardian
Team ICO, despite not having a presence at E3 2010, is “hard at work” on their upcoming PlayStation 3 masterpiece The Last Guardian, confirmed SCEE boss Andrew House during a discussion at E3 last week.
“Yes, we would love to have more of an update on The Last Guardian. The team is hard at work on it,” House told Eurogamer after the game appeared missing from Sony’s E3 press conference.
“Having spent six years working in Japan, I can guarantee you people will be hard at work, all hours of the night and day,” he told them when they asked whether or not they were really hard at work at it.
“I have not seen it recently, other than what’s been shown publicly,” he added.
Apparently, the no-show of The Last Guardian at E3 was a decision that Team ICO made themselves.
“I think the team just made a decision that they didn’t want to talk about the progress on the game or reveal it at this particular stage, and we have to respect that,” House said.
When asked whether or not The Last Guardian would be at Gamescom in Cologne this August, House responded with an unfortunate “I couldn’t say right now”. Cross your fingers.
