After its GameTrailers TV debut, THQ’s Red Faction: Armageddon has been officially announced today. The fourth game in the series is in development at its regular studio, Volition, for release on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in March 2011.
Red Faction: Armageddon takes players to underground Mars “as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.” Players step in the shoes of Darius Mason, fighting to save humanity from the evil that threatens to kill all life on the planet.
The game sports brand new, “never-before-seen” physics-based weaponry that promises to “redefine gameplay”. Darius’ Nano Forge abilities and other gameplay features such as the Magnet Gun will aid him in his battle for the planet.
