Joy Ride disappears, but Microsoft insists “BigPark’s vision” will live in 2010
Joy Ride, announced for Xbox 360 at last year’s Microsoft E3 presser, has still yet to see daylight. The game is in development at Microsoft’s BigPark studio as a free Xbox LIVE Arcade racing title, allowing players to use their avatars to compete against friends.
Just recently, however, the game has disappeared from the internet. The game’s official Xbox.com page has gone down and the link on Microsoft’s E3 2009 page has been removed.
Wondering what’s going on with the game, a concerned JoyStiq contacted Microsoft.
“We’re excited to bring BigPark’s vision to life in 2010,” a Microsoft rep replied. “However, we have nothing further to announce at this time.”
The only question that remains is what BigPark’s vision really is. They never specifically mention Joy Ride in the reply.
We’ll keep you updated.
