Itagaki: PS3 version of Devil’s Third to support 3D (maybe)
3D was one of E3’s highlights this year. While not as big as motion control, Sony and third-party publishers all showed big support for the feature. It looks like THQ and developer Valhalla Games will be doing the same, as Tomonobu Itagaki’s upcoming Devil’s Third will support 3D come its release in 2012… maybe.
“The PlayStation 3 version is going to support 3D visuals,” Itagaki told VG247 during last week’s E3. “I myself have a 3D TV in my living room, so there’s no impossibility that it’s in my house. But to be honest with you, we have to first spec out the power and strength of PS3, and after we do that, we can start talking about it, so I can’t promise anything at this point.”
A lot of publishers are backing this new 3D push. EA, Disney, Ubisoft, 2K Games, and Warner Bros have already revealed that they’ll be integrating the feature into upcoming games during last week’s E3.
