It’s official. After rumors of Hulu coming to both PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE, a new Hulu Plus service announced today confirms its arrival on the home consoles.
Hulu Plus will run subscribers $9.99 a month and is supported with ads in order to provide buyers with full seasons of their favorite TV shows in high-definition from ABC, FOX, NBC, and more. The service will work across multiple devices including Samsung TVs, Samsung blu-ray players, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, iPhones, iPads, and many others.
Hulu Plus is listed as “coming soon” for PlayStation 3, while it’s listed for a “Q1 2011” release on Xbox 360. However, in the introduction video for Hulu Plus, it clearly states that Hulu Plus is coming to PlayStation 3 in July.
There’s a library of over forty-five shows with “every episode aired from the current season” to watch. That includes House M.D., Family Guy, The Office, etc. There are past seasons, too, with Hulu boasting that subscribers of the service can “catch up on every episode of every season”.
I suggest watching season one of Heroes. Don’t go on to season two afterward. Stop there.
There’s no word as to when Hulu Plus will launch, however, they’re currently running a preview for those who want to try it out. You can go ahead and request an invite at the link.
