A leak on GameStop’s product page for Naruto Shippiuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 has revealed several new details about Namco Bandai’s upcoming sequel.
A three-part story mode will allow players to experience the story from the point-of-view of three different characters. Each mode is said to offer the player “completely different experiences”. The first character is obviously Naruto and the second we can assume is Sasuke. Who’s the third?
Players will be able to have “tremendous 3D battles with over 40 characters”, according to the listing. That’s an improvement of at least 15 in comparison to the first game, which only had 25 characters to play as.
The second game already sounded like a huge improvement over the first with the addition of online battles, but this new information just makes it seem even more worthwhile. There’s more, too. Players will be able to compete across eighteen different “interactive and destructive” arenas. When playing online, they’ll use some sort of card system to show their ninja style.
I’m not sure about that card system just yet, as GameStop doesn’t really go into detail.
Either way, you can be sure we’ll hear more about Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 come E3.
Thanks, Jacob!
