LittleBigPlanet 2 has never actually been officially announced by Sony, but a new tweet from electronic musician Ochre may have confirmed its development.

“Pleased to announce the licensing of ‘Infotain Me’ to Sony for Little Big Planet 2 on PS3,” Ochre musician Christopher Leary wrote in the Twitter update.

IGN went ahead an contacted Sony, but received the usual “Sony does not comment on rumors and speculation” response.

His tweet has since been removed, causing speculation to rise even further. But as you probably want proof it was there, Google cache did its job pretty well.

LBP always seemed like the type of game that didn’t require a sequel because there’s no end to what you can do with it creatively.

What could they possibly add to this game that someone hasn’t already thought of and created a level for?

My only complain about the game, and why I STILL don’t play it but can’t summon to courage to trade it/sell it, is that the controls are HORRIBLE!!! Those little Sackboys are so floaty and some of the platforms and challenges make it near impossible to complete (I’m still stuck in one of the early levels).

Hopefully they can tighten up the controls for the sequel.
