Portal 2 due out Christmas for 360/PC, includes co-op
Well that was fast. Portal 2 was just announced in the latest Game Informer, but platforms and a release date weren’t specified.
Eurogamer grabbed a hold of Valve‘s Doug Lombardi and quizzed him on the two subjects.
According to Lombardi, the game is due out this “holiday season” for Xbox 360 and PC.
There will not be a PlayStation 3 version, despite it being in The Orange Box in 2007. Although that port was handled by EA. Remember that wreck?
Also, according to the game’s GameStop description, the game comes with both single-player and co-op modes. The single-player introduces players to new characters, new puzzzle elements, and a “much larger” amount of test chambers. The co-op mode is a separate campaign with a separate story, test chambers, and two different characters.
It’s going to be a retail title.
