At yesterday night’s Interactive Achievement Awards, Ubisoft creative director Patrice Desilets and series lead writer Corey May were on the red carpet to speak about their upucoming Assassin’s Creed installment. As we’ve heard before, this will be the first time in the franchise history that a game will have multiplayer.
Those who fear that the multiplayer may drive developers less towards the main campaign, fear not. May and Desilets confirmed that the game will have a full-fledged single-plyaer campaign feature Ezio’s return to Rome. The multiplayer, they’ve said, will have a “narrative justification.”
It’s in development at Ubisoft Montreal, just as every other Assassin’s Creed platform game. May assured that “It won’t be boring.”
Expect this new Assassin’s Creed by the end of March 2011.
