At this year’s DICE summit, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford broke the news that their November-released first-person-role-playing–shooter Borderlands has sold over three million copies. Makes sense, considering the game is 2009’s fastest-selling original intellectual property.
Currently, Gearbox is planning their third downloadable add-on for Borderlands, titled The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. That should build up even more momentum for the game and a potential for more unit sales.
Pitchford decided to randomly share his Xbox LIVE gamertag for some reason, which is DuvalMagic. Poor Pitchford. He’s about to be spammed with friend requests (including mine). Brace for impact.
