Xbox Game Room makes you repurchase arcade games

Later this year, the Xbox Game Room will hit the Xbox LIVE Arcade; however, if you’ve already purchased any classics on the Xbox LIVE Arcade, you’ll have to repurchase them to play in the arcade.

Microsoft says that Game Room titles are the original versions of the games in comparison to Xbox LIVE Arcade’s revamped originals. With these games cost going from anywhere between 240 to 400 Microsoft Points, I think I’ll pass.

Why do I need to walk through a virtual arcade to play my game anyway? I’m fine with the ones I already payed for. Newer games unavailable on the arcade — that’s a different story.
