Last month Ubisoft revealed intentions on crafting a major role-playing game “on the same level as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest“, as their current game catalog include little to none (does Enchanted Arms count?). Today, thanks to a statement from Ubisoft France CEO Geoffroy Sardin, the company revealed they may already be working on the RPG.
“And we have a number of announcements during 2010 to give this universe then.” Sardin said in an interview with French gaming site GameKult. “Then we want to build on games RPG and we are working on this particular universe in the studio Blue Byte Software in China but also in our studio in Shanghai. That’s all I can say.”
Blue Byte Software has worked with Ubisoft in the past. They’ve created several games, most of them insignificant, however.
Thanks, Connected Consoles.
