Nomura: No Final Fantasy VII remake yet

This week’s Famitsu had a special tribute feature to Final Fantasy VII‘s Cloud Strife. It looked at Cloud’s history in games, through Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, and Tetsuya Nomura even said a few words about him.

First, Nomura acknowledges that he knows how many fans want a Final Fantasy VII remake, but development has not yet started. He did mention that Cloud may just be appearing in another game soon as a guest-star, similar to how he did in Dissida: Final Fantasy (Kingdom Hearts III?).

That’s all Nomura had to say. I must admit I’m kind of sad that it’s not already in development. Who knows? Maybe it’ll start soon.
