In a recent interview with Cryptic Studios, the developer discussed its current place in development on the Xbox 360 version of Champions Online, as well as reveals that a PlayStation 3 version of the massively-multiplayer online superhero game is possible.
The Xbox 360 version is the team’s focus right now. Cryptic says it will have a benefit because it will launch with all the additional content added to the PC version already on disc.
“We’re doing a lot of work on the console version of the game right now. A separate team from the PC group is focusing on the controller scheme, console-specific UI, and overall graphics performance.” A Cryptic developer told GamesOnSmash. “The Xbox 360 version will also have the benefit of launching with all the additional content we’ve created and balancing we’re doing since the PC launch.”
When asked if a monthly subscription will be charged for the Xbox 360 version, Cryptic told the site that they’re not so sure yet.
“We haven’t finalized the business end of things on the Xbox 360, so I honestly have no idea.”
Finally, on a PlayStation 3 version of the game, Cryptic answered, “ANYTHING is possible…”
