Pre-order numbers for Assassin’s Creed II are doing pretty good, up 80 percent in comparison to pre-order numbers for the first game, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed today.
Ubisoft expects that the sequel will sell around 15-25 percent higher total sales than the first game.
The CEO has also revealed that the publisher has signed an exclusive deal with Sony Computer Entertainment in early 2009, marketing the game exclusively on the PlayStation 3 platform. You’ll see TV commercials marketing only the PS3 version of the game, and if you’ve been around the net, you’d probably have seen the flash ads showing only a PS3 case. Guillemot says this agreement will see more activity “than would have been possible otherwise”.
