Halo 3: ODST to feature secondary sub-story

During the PAX 2009 panel discussion for Halo 3: ODST, the developers discussed the game’s story, gameplay and its background. However, the developers also revealed that ODST will feature a secondary fully developed sub-story separate from the main game.

“Sadie’s Story”, as it’s being called, has been in development alongside Fourth Wall Studios and will be presented as a second story in Halo 3: ODST about the life of New Mombasa resident Sadie during the final hours of the city before it is destroyed (the city is destroyed in Halo 2). A few images of the story were shown, but that’s it. It’s written b y Bungie lead writer Joe Staten and Fourth Wall, in collaboration with comic artist Ashley Wood.

According to the developers, “Sadie’s Story” doubled the amount of voice work in the game.

With this new secondary story also in the game, it kind of makes the $60 price tag worth it.
