Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Launches on PlayStation Network today
Fighting fans, the wait is over. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is set to arrive on the PlayStation Network today for a mere $14.99 (compared to eBay, this is nothing). This newer version of the classic fighter comes with updated high-res graphics, widescreen support and lagless online play.
The game had already arrived on Xbox LIVE Arcade at the end of July, so Marvel is providing an exclusive offer to the first 15,000 PlayStation Network buyers; a one month free subscription to Marvel Digital Comics. You’ll receive an e-mail within a week after your purchase with your redemption code.
The PlayStation Network version of the game also features custom soundtracks via the in-game XMB so you’re not forced to listen to “Take You For a Ride” over and over again. Those interested in the game’s actual soundtrack, though, composed of hip-hop artists like Talib Kweli, Raekwon, E-40 and more, it will be available on the PlayStation Network next week.
Finally, the retail edition of the game, releasing in GameStop today, is official. The retail version will go for $14.99 and include a download code for the game and an awesome-licious box. You can check out a high-res version of the box at our gallery.
