Motorstorm: Pacific Rift Game Update #2 Released, Free DLC
Just as the first Motorstorm did, Evolution’s Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is starting to receive weeks of downloadable content. Eight weeks to be exact. The downloadable content together adds a new look to every single vehicle in the game. To top it all off, it’s free.
On top of this, the second game update was recently released, adding fixes and additions to the game. These fixes and updates include the following.
- Sugar Rush short-cut removed – The short-cut to the left of the “keep right†arrows going into the sugar field was not intentionally included and has been removed
- Sugar Rush respawn point fixed – Crashing at a certain point on the track no longer respawns the vehicle in a generous position
- Inclusion of Microbadges
These new Microbadges are actually a cool way of giving each player an identiy when playing Motorstorm: Pacific Rift online. They are basically medals displayed in game which show off your latest achievements in the game to every other racer.
Here are some examples of Microbadges, which are displayed beneath each PlayStation Network username online. Up to three can be displayed under your name.
- Gold Festival – Completed Pacific Rift Festival with all Gold medals
- Immortal – Win an Online Ranked race without wrecking
- Flame and Fortune – 20 Boost explosion wins
- Time Attack Master – Record an impressive Time Attack time on any Leaderboard
- Supreme Victor – Win any Online or Offline race by a margin of 15 seconds
