The Secret World Debut Trailer & Tornquist Interview
Funcom has debuted the first trailer for their upcoming Xbox 360 and PC MMORPG, The Secret World. While the trailer is all cinematic, boy does it have us excited.
Game director and producer, Ragnar Tornquist, reveals that the game takes place in the real world but in also in a world that’s concealed from us, covered up by governements and secret organizations. It’s a dangerous world, a world that’s been hidden.
The players are chosen and given amazing powers, and must stop the overcoming darkness and kill monsters inspired by ancient history/mythology. Players can wear whatever they want and be modern heroes. The game’s not level based either, it’s based off skills.
You chose to start in New York, London, or Korea and you chose your own path through the game. You play how you want to play.
The Secret World has been in development for three years and there’s still no set release date, but Tornquist says “it’s not way way way out there, it’s just out there.”
