Star Ocean 4: Stop Freezing for Edge’s Sake

Okay, something’s been bugging me lately about Square Enix‘s recently released Star Ocean: The Last Hope for the Xbox 360. It constantly freezes. My game just froze during the middle of a cutscene in which I was at least 6-7 minutes in, and it’s not like you can rewind, forward or pause it, so basically I’m stuck watching it all again as well as regaining the half-hour of leveling I lost.

The game froze in the beginning of disc two after you go meet Miss Eleyna and the whole big scene happens where she tells you what you got to do (I’m being vague so I don’t spoil anything).

My game was already on 720p mainly because it froze before on disc one while on Cardianon during the end of a battle. Now, this is getting a bit annoying. I can’t play the game on 1080p because it kept freezing and now the game’s freezing on 720p. This is just great, how the hell am I supposed to play the game now? I’m scared to start it up because it froze on a cutscene, froze in battle around 4 times, and once even froze while on the field map as I was riding a bunny.

Doing some research, a lot of gamers on gaming forums such as the GameFAQs boards are having the same problem, and Square Enix has yet to issue a statement regarding these annoying glitches. We’ve contacted them for further statement, however.
