Uncharted 2: Woman Partner Chloe, New Gameplay Features
GameTrailers’ new information on a PlayStation 3 exclusive was in fact Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, where they’ve gotten an exclusive preview.
Uncharted 2‘s story revolves around Marco Polo’s lost fleet, where Polo left China with a fleet of 14 ships, but arrived in Persia with only one ship and eighteen survivors on the ship. The game open’s up with Nathan Drake in a museum, when he then lifts an artifact that puts him on the Marco Polo case; searching for a Cintimani Stone (a sapphire stone said to be worth billions) in locations such as the South Pacific, Nepal, and the Himalayas.
As for returning characters, Sully has made a return, but Nathan has a new partner this time around. She’s an Australian woman named Chloe Frazer, who seems to be one wicked chick, saving Nathan with a rocket launcher.
The area seen in the old screenshot above is Nepal. This is the location GameTrailers seen in their preview with Naughty Dog.
A new gameplay feature is in the game, and that’s called traversal gunplay, meaning no longer will you take shots with no chance to fire back while climbing walls. You can now shoot back. Another new gameplay feature is action–stealth, allowing Nathan to be sneaky, but keep the action going at the same time so the game doesn’t slow down.
Uncharted 2 sounds good so far, but I’m sure there is much more to reveal. Cooperative play, anyone?
