Rumor: Gears of War 3 In Development and Releasing Fall ’09

The latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly contains a rumor in it’s Quartermann section regarding one of our favorite shooters. According to the rumor, the guys at Epic Games are already hard at work on Gears of War 3, tweaking the engine running the game as well as throwing in some cool features such as 5-player cooperative play. The game is said to release Fall 2009.

Of course, I doubt whether or not Epic would even confirm this true, if it in fact is.
