Fable II Coming as an Xbox LIVE Marketplace Download?
Peter Molyneux, the big boss of Lionhead Studios, has hinted towards a Fable II release over the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, in other words, a digital download.
However, Mr. Molyneux refused to confirm anything: “I think it would be a great thing for this studio to work on.”
When he was pressed for more information, Molyneux even went as far as to say that: “I can’t say anything else on it – I would be killed to death.”
Microsoft have already offered Xbox Originals over the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, but adding Fable II as a downloadable could be start of offering full Xbox 360 games. The first game, Fable, was already made as a downloadable over the Xbox Originals service, which Molyneux says is did “really, really well”.
“It did really, really well,” he revealed. “It was one of the highest selling, if not the highest selling, [Xbox Originals title]. I didn’t track that exactly, but I know a lot of people got very excited about it when it came out.”
Hmm, once Circuit City gives me my free 1600 Microsoft Points, I think I know what I might buy.
