We certainly didn’t see this one coming. Codemasters has told Eurogamer that their upcoming shooter, Damnation, has slipped into early 2009.
“Damnation is being rescheduled for an early 2009 release,” a Codemasters spokesperson told Eurogamer.
“The game will be much stronger and better as a result, and will also give people time to get all the pre-holiday releases out the way – ready for the fresh (and vertical) gaming experience that Damnation offers.”
He also said that a demo will hit the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC just about a month before the actual game releases.
I’d see this delay as no problem. WIth games like Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, Fallout 3, Mirror’s Edge, Prince of Persia, and a whole lot more hit this Holiday, I think one less game is very beneficial (in my wallet).
