I love Criterion. Simple as that. The way they are supporting Burnout Paradise with all this free extra content is just amazing.
Motorcycles are coming to Burnout Paradise, and so is darkness on the streets, because Paradise City will get to experience night time.
The bike pack will have the Nakamura Firehawk V4 or the Nakamura FV1100 available for pickup at the junkyard on the start. The bikes come with 70 new challenges, 38 new against-the-clock races (Burning Rides) and new “Road Rules†record times for 64 streets. It’s basically like playing a completely new game.
The pack will include night time, allowing the sun to set at 8pm, and the game will change. The bike lights switch on and traffics clears out for some new high speed racing and night-specific gameplay. Half of the new Burning Rides that take place at night are called Midnight Rides.
The clock works as so:
From 8pm to 8am it’s night. We figured you’d want to decide how fast this comes around, so we made the clock customizable. You can easily switch between day and night and try out the different gameplay whenever you like. You can also control the speed of change – anything from 24 minutes to real-time (24hrs), if you’re up for an epic session!
The bikes will go live next week, with one more update on the pack coming right before the update.
