Watchmen Games Coming to PSN, XBLA as Episodic Downloads

Warner Bros. have announced that they will be producing console videogame tie-ins for it’s upcoming movie, Watchmen.

They will publish at least two Watchmen game episodes for download on the PLAYSTATION Network and Xbox Live Arcade. The first episode will come March 2009 when the movie releases, the second will come when the DVD releases.

“We don’t want a low-quality console game that will get lost at retail,” said WBIE senior veep of production and development Samantha Ryan. “A downloadable game allows us to deliver the experience that fans expect.”

The games will be developed by Danish developer Deadline Games, featuring film characters Rorschach and Nite Owl and is likely to earn itself an M Rating.
