Sony’s Plans for Achieving Profit in 2008

The Strategic Meeting held in Tokyo today brought along Sony’s plans to achieve profit, as prersented by Kaz Hirai. Here is the plan:

• Accelerating cost down efforts
» Chip shrink

» Reducing the number of components

• Strengthening the management
» Organizational Review

» Further reductions in SGA

• Introducing more new and exciting titles

And of course with some work on the PLAYSTATION 3 as well.

• Enriching non-game content and services
• Enhancing PlayStation Network
• Expanding the market by further increasing the hardware installed base
