Leaked Image of v2.40 Trophies Profile? [Update]

Here we have what appears to be a leaked shot of v2.40’s trophy support, supposedly. The avatar in the image (Clank) is real, and this image is actually clear unlike others. The only thing we are noticing is Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum trophies? We have no idea how this will be involved in the system, but expect to hear something from Sony soon.

Update 9:12PM: Another tipster has sent in more information as well as another screenshot to PS3Fanboy, claiming he is a game developer who can vouch for what was previously sent in. The new screenshot shows a “gamer card” and “compare” page for the firmware. The screen shows a trophy total and level.

According to the tipster, each trophy will be worth a certain amount of points, limiting the amount of trophies in each game. If you want to level up, you must gain a certain number of trophy points and your level will increase.

Regarding in-game XMB, the tipster says that “you can do most things” while using the XMB in-game such as comparing trophies. Pressing the PS Button brings up the XMB, and holding it down brings up the menu you see now when you press the PS Button. Lets hope Sony says something about 2.40 soon, because we are getting a bit too anxious.
