Orange Box Petition Reaches 1500, EA Has no Say in Development
He has also informed me that EA UK has responded to his questions. He asked why there were no official Orange Box forums on the EA Forums considering they were the developers. They responded:
“The reason there is no forum for The Orange Box is that EA simply distributed the boxed product for this game on behalf of Valve (unlike the DD version which was distributed using Valves very own “Steam”). EA has no say in the development of the game so unfortunately I am unable to help you on this.”
The relationship between Valve Software and Electronic Arts?
“We distributed Valves assets on a CD/DVD format for Console and PC.”
Technically, EA did port the game, so it’s their development for the PLAYSTATION 3 version. They take responsibility. So why no help on this bad port?
