Media Create Sales: 12/5/16 – 12/11/16

Sega‘s Yakuza 6: The Song of Life for PlayStation 4 sold 218,168 units during its first week of release in Japan, the latest Media Create sales figures reveal.

In comparison, PlayStation 3 predecessors Yakuza 5 opened at 363,717 sales, Yakuza 4 at 395,123 sales, and Yakuza 3 at 356,867 sales.

The Last Guardian, the long-awaited PlayStation 4 title from Sony Interactive Entertainment JAPAN Studio and Fumito Ueda, opened at 82,260 sales.

Several 3DS titles also launched this week. Nintendo‘s Miitopia opened at 27,090 sales, Sega’s Puyo Puyo Chronicle at 13,873 sales, and Arc System Works‘ Kunio-kun Nekketsu Complete Famicom Series at 8,266 sales.

After opening at 690,471 units last week, the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy XV also moved an additional 79,792 units this week.
