Media Create Sales: 2/10/14 – 2/16/14

Following its debut last week, Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca’s Wonderful Mysterious Keys continues to lead this week’s Japanese game sales with an additional 118,000 units moved, Media Create figures reveal.

The 3DS title beat out Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, just launched for Wii U, which opened at 36,000 sales. Its Wii predecessor Donkey Kong Country Returns, in comparison, opened at 166,000 sales when it launched in 2009.

Hardware sales continue to remain the same, with 3DS XL returning to its regular sales range after last week’s Dragon Quest Monsters 2 jump.
