Tokyo Game Show 2013 breaks attendance record

Tokyo Game Show 2014 to begin September 18, 2014.

270,197 people attended the Tokyo Game Show this year, the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association has announced.

The four-day trade show ran from September 19 to 22 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The new attendance record tops last year’s 223,753 attendees by 47,000.

September 22 was this year’s busiest day, with 115,444 people inside the Makuhari Messe. Last year’s busiest day saw 94,980 people within the convention center.

Here’s the full rundown:

  • September 19 (Business Day) – 29,171 people
  • September 20 (Business Day) – 23,183 people
  • September 21 – 102,399 people
  • September 22 – 115,444 people
  • Total – 270,197 people

Next year’s Tokyo Game Show will run from September 18 to 21 at the Makuhari Messe.

        Ultimately, its not the trip you should be worrying about, its lodging transport and AKIHABARA! Having enough for the trip alone is NOT enough at all, trust me

    Yup, and Playstation dominated the show floor and events again. No surprises there. ^_^

    How many VITA exclusives where announced/teased this month? Here’s what I got: Nova, Delta, GR2, Madoka Magica, and Badman G.

    And a few other ports and remakes. Some pretty good pickings! Still, a VITA exclusive from a AAA publisher (like Capcom or SE) would have been nice. Very disappointing. Ah, but dat remote-play..
