Microsoft and Double Helix’s upcoming Killer Instinct reboot for Xbox One won’t be a full-fledged retail release.

Killer Instinct is a free-to-play, day-one digital-only launch title on Xbox One, IGN has confirmed. The game features one character—Jago— with the rest of the cast—like Saberwulf, Glacius, and other unannounced fighters—being paid add-ons.

Xbox One is out this November. Catch yesterday’s Killer Instinct trailer here.
