Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix Jump Festa trailer

Square Enix has updated the official Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix website with the new trailer shown at Jump Festa in Chiba this weekend. Watch it below. If you missed this weekend’s new info dump, catch up here.

      Guys, why you downvoting him? he has a valid point, there’s a quite a bit of chugging which cause the framerate to drop.

      Something that the original ps2 games didn’t exactly have too much of

      It’s sad when we have to hope Square Enix titles come out in NA. Regardless, I’m sure it will come for sure, BELIEVE! /crying about Type-0 still ;-;

        I think if they want to stir up hype over the next console KH, this is the best way to do it. HD Ports. :( It’s not even on a dying portable so it has to be done!

          Absolutely right. Time to run the hype train while the going is good. This is easy money for Square, I have no idea what’s wrong with their Japanese branch and the branch responsible for localizing their Japanese content. I’ve been trying to find my copy of KH1 just before we got word of this and now that it’s a thing (with release date) I just said “Eh, I’m double dipping” that’s how easy the money is, actually in my case triple dip but that’s a story for another day.

    The graphic still looks really great. Still better than a lot of PS3 JRPG. I won’t even mind KH 3 with graphic just like that but with bigger world.

    I’ve noticed quite a few problems here, and hilariously enough, they all seem to be exclusive to Re:Chain of Memories.

    Okay.
    Pause at 0:21. Minor nit-pick here, but what the heck is up with abnormal amount of aliased edges? I remember edges are a lot smoother in the first game.

    Next.
    From the 0:47-0:50, pay attention to the Kairi and Naminé as they fade in and out from the darkness. What is up with that horrendously pixelated fading effect? Quite an annoyance to the eyes, but nothing too major so let’s move on.

    Okay, from 1:03-1:05. Whoa, what the heck is wrong with Naminé’s model there? All pixelated like it was a badly upscaled PSP game… Still, it’s just another minor annoyance.

    Here comes the big bad boy!
    From 1:20-1:25, it is quite clear that the game is running at a lower frame rate when compared to the footage from first game. The fact that BOTH boss fights and normal battles are affected seems to be quite alarming to say the least.

    Seriously, it’s as though Square is too focused on making both the first game and the cutscenes from 358/2 Days look good that the efforts they put into Re:Chain of Memories seem rather lacking. But this is just me reacting to whatever shown in this latest the trailer. Hopefully the retail version won’t be this bad.

    It’s like what I remember when I first saw Kingdom Hearts… But did Square Enix dealt with that Tarzan fiasco when they’re making this?

      It appears so, then again the real test would have been if it gets sold digitally as well as on disc.

      Canning a game that already has an official release date? Ace, that’s madness!
      Beside, who says Final Fantasy X HD was canned? It’s a low-priority project, no doubt, but it’ll come out eventually.

    I hope that those impatient people that want to import also buy the western version if it gets localized. If not they’re part of the problem of less RPGs in the west. Chain of memories have errors and I hope that Nomura notice them. I do think that a west release will be announce after they make 2.5 . Anyway I will now sell my PS2 copies, I hope the net good $.
