Is the next Tales game Tales of Xillia 2?

High-resolution scan surfaces online.

A high-resolution scan of Jump’s Next Tales of tease has hit the net.

Namco Bandai launched a countdown site for the title yesterday. It will see a formal unveil at the Tales of Festival on June 2.

Japanese blogs are pointing out similarities between the artwork and Tales of Xillia. You will see the language of the Elenpios (a people or city in or related to Xillia – I haven’t played the game, so I can’t be sure) in certain areas of the artwork.

The “X” in “Next Tales of” is the same “X” found in the Tales of Xillia logo.

The teaser site for the game is also the same sort of purple as Milla’s side of the Tales of Xillia website.

It’s also worth noting that Namco Bandai usually trademarks the name of their next Tales game several months ahead of its announcement. In this case, Namco Bandai has yet to trademark a new name, which would make Tales of Xillia 2 seem very plausible, considering it already has a trademark on Tales of Xillia.

It is possible we may be looking at Tales of Xillia 2.
