Yesterday, Twisted Metal director David Jaffe spoke out on his feelings towards console exclusivity, saying that even if they were offered the opportunity to bring the Sony-owned IP to Xbox 360, they’d keep the game a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Afterward, Jaffe even rewarded a Twisted Metal fan who owns solely an Xbox 360 a PlayStation 3 so he can play the game when it comes out in 2011.
Apparently, Jaffe’s comments didn’t suit right with the the Xbox owning commenters of our friends at Destructoid. Naturally, Jaffe responded.
“Holy f**k, Destructoid Xbox only owners out in full force against me,” Jaffe wrote in a four-part Twitter update. “WTF? I can’t have an opinion? It’s not that we would not LOVE to have our games in every home in the world…even the ones w/out electricity. F**k it- we don’t care! It’s just that we value our relationship with Sony very, very much. They give us extra time to make the game great, lots of creative and marketing and business support. And we like the people over there tons; they are like family. Why is it so hard to understand we’d like 2 stay in that kind of working relationship?”
Agreed, Jaffe. Agreed. You’ve got to love him. Not many developers out there who truly speak their mind like David. I kind of admire the guy.

plus, the ps3′s a better system, so it’s natural that wants to develop just for it ;-D
Well said my friend.
Because Xbox fans are becoming desperate. Face the truth…PS FOR LIFE.
I wonder which system most scrawl users prefer…haha
Awesome!! For a long time now, I have seen many people say mean things about the PS3. But seeing this guy stick up for it, this guy just went up on my fav developer list. :D
PS3 is the future, sooner or later 360 owners will come to understand this lol.
Now only if ninja theory moved this way instead of complaining “WE ONLY SOLD 1 MILLION. NOT ENOUGH MONEY.”
I wish Square-Enix saw Jaffe’s way. We are proud of you Jaffe, seems for the first time Microsoft stealing Sony’s greatest games with there $$$ won’t help them this time.
Indeed Sal, not enough developers left in the world like Jaffe, it’s like the media (especially in the UK) jumping on WikiLeaks for being ‘irresponsible’, when actually they (WikiLeaks) are doing the job REAL journalists should be doing, spineless cowards.
But anyway, I digress. Personally, PS3 is my preferred system, why can’t a developer be allowed to say the same thing? In this money-mad world, we need all the honest ‘I’m doing this because I WANT to’ or ‘this is my fave console, that’s why’ or even ‘I like Sony, suck it’ type developers we can get.
Totally agree, in both your comments about our imbecilic British media, and of the PS3′s and it’s developers like Jaffe.
