by [@salromano] at 11:32 PM EDT, September 20, 2010 .

PlayStation 3 firmware version 3.50, announced last week at Sony Computer Entertainment Japan’s Tokyo Game Show press conference, is now live and available for download over the PlayStation Network.

The new update includes support for Blu-ray 3D disc playback, further Facebook integration for developers to utilize in games, and a reporting functionality for when users receive inappropriate messages over the PlayStation Network.

It’s up for download now. If your up, why not fire up your PS3 for the download?

Oh right. Time differences. I’m not slow..! lolz..

I think it’s great how they’ve added 3D BD playback .. for some reason it really took me off guard, wasn’t expecting it.

I’ll probably wait a day or two and then update. Our family hasn’t had a great run with firmware updates..!

I don’t have a 3D TV yet, but it sure is great that i don’t have to buy another piece of hardware just to play 3D movies in the future. This just proves that PS3 really is a great value for our money.

By the way, has anyone tested it already ?
