New Naku Koro ni title and Umineko no Naku Koro ni Saku announced [Update]

Both titles due out this winter in Japan.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni Saku and Untitled no Naku Koro ni

07th Expansion has announced two new titles.

The first title is a completely new entry in the Naku Koro ni (When They Cry) series tentatively titled ●● no Naku Koro ni (●● When They Cry).

The second title is Umineko no Naku Koro ni Saku (Umineko When They Cry Blossom), which is an Umineko no Naku Koro ni all-in-one pack with a new scenario and other extras. (Editor’s Note: This is different from the Entergram-published all-in-one pack that was announced without an official title back in March, which includes Umineko no Naku Koro ni Episodes 1 to 8 remakes Umineko no Naku Koro ni: Rondo of the Witch and Reasoning and Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru: Nocturne of Truth and Illusions.)

Both titles will launch simultaneously this winter in Japan. While platforms were not announced, the Umineko no Naku Koro ni Saku side of the announcement image mentions it being “an Umineko compilation disc including a new episode,” suggesting it will be released on a platform that uses discs.

Update 07/15/18 at 1:25 a.m.: 07th Expansion has clarified (2) that Umineko no Naku Koro ni Saku is an all-in-one pack similar to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Hou. It will be something like the old games—Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru, Umineko no Naku Koro ni Tsubasa, and Umineko no Naku Koro ni Hane—on Disc 1, and the new episode and more on Disc 2. The actual number of discs has yet to be decided, however.

The character on the left of the above image (Battler) is part of the Umineko no Naku Koro ni Saku box art, while the character on the right is the protagonist of ●● no Naku Koro ni. While the illustrations are drawn entirely by Ryukishi07, the coloring is being done by Remotaro.
