Caligula update adds New Game Plus, additional dungeon

Download version available at a reduced price in Japan.

Furyu and Aquria have released update version 1.05 for PS Vita RPG Caligula in Japan, adding a host of new features to the game.

Here’s the overview:

New Game Plus (Post-Clear New Game)

Caligula

Play the story from the beginning while carrying over your cleared game stats.

The following stats will carry over:

  • Character level
  • Experience points
  • Skill level
  • Character skill acquisitions
  • Skill points
  • Each character’s equipped Stigma
  • The Stigma you possess
  • Student friendship levels
  • Causality Links
  • World reward unlocks
  • World reward items within treasures
  • DLC items
  • Play time

Play Post-Clear with Increased Enemy Levels

When carrying over your cleared save data, you can choose whether to add the “Number of Turns x 10 Levels” to enemy Digiheads and boss characters.

Battle Bosses Again

Caligula

You can now have rematches against each Ostinato Musician. If you wish to do so, head towards the place where you first fought them.

Warp Between Some Save Points

Caligula

Outside of Grand Guignol, you can warp between save points in areas you’ve unlocked. Additionally, some maps have had their enemy positions adjusted.

Additional Dungeon Where You’ll Fight “A Certain Enemy”

To commemorate the October 15 launch of the novel version of Caligula, a new area has been added that you can only access after clearing the game.

Caligula has been out for PS Vita in Japan since June 23. It will launch digitally for PS Vita in North America and Europe in spring 2017. The Japanese digital version will be available at a discounted price of 4,485 yen rather than the standard 6,900 yen until October 28.
