Shaquille O’Neal and developer Big Deez Productions debuted Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn at The Game Awards 2015 in Los Angeles tonight.
Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is the crowd-funded successor to the Sega Gensis and Super Nintendo game Shaq Fu. The team behind the game comes from backgrounds such as Halo, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, and Alan Wake. The game itself is described as “Street Fighter meets Devil May Cry,” or “a modern day take on the classic beat ’em up.” You’ll play as Shaquille O’Neal and learn “hundreds” of moves and battle techniques to take on enemies and bosses in dynamic arenas.
The game is planned for release across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
