Senran Kagura: Estival Versus update adds playable Sayuri

Update was previously online, but has since been taken down momentarily to fix bugs.

Senran Kagura: Estival Versus

Details on version 1.04 of Senran Kagura: Estival Versus for PS4 and PS Vita have been released, the biggest change being the addition of playable grandmother Sayuri to the game’s roster.

Selectable by hovering the cursor over Jasmine on the character select screen and pressing the Options/Start button, Sayuri is described as being an “explosively slow-moving” character who lacks Shinobi Tenshin capabilities, as well as destructible clothing. Also unlocked is the Kairai Walker, a mecha that can be controlled during battle. Beyond that, the update includes new festival events, additional clothing items in the changing room, and balance changes.

Though the update itself was previously available for immediate download, it has since been taken offline temporarily due to bugs arising when updating the physical retail version of the game. Series producer Kenichiro Takaki took to Twitter to say that players who have downloaded the update should avoid saving the game and instead revert back to version 1.03, which is being retransmitted on PSN for the time being.
