Keiji Inafune

This week’s Famitsu leaks brings word of Mega Man and Mighty No. 9 creator Keiji Inafune teaming up with Japanese pachislot manufacturer Yamasa on a new mobile game by the name of “Ringeki! Queslot.”

Set to come out sometime later this month and with preregistration opening up on the 13th, Ringeki is a free-to-play RPG with item-driven monetization. In it, players take control of parties of up to five girls and go dungeon crawling and battling with them. Story events, battles, and even post-battle rewards are all influenced by in-game slot machines. As is commonplace in Japanese mobile games as of late, in addition to leveling up their girl squad, players can also attempt to acquire rare ones by chance, Japanese gachapon-style.

Inafune commented on the collaboration saying that, “Those who like Yamasa’s slot machines should be in for a treat, I feel.”
