Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 3 opening movie

Plus, PS Vita remake gets Nariyuki Dungeons.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 3

Compile Heart has released the opening movie for Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 3: V Century, its upcoming PS Vita remake of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory.

In addition to the previously revealed additional episode added to the start of the game, new events and side activities, and an updated battle system, Compile Heart also revealed the game will have a “Nariyuki Dungeon” mode.

Nariyuki Dungeon is an RPG mode where Stella traverses Neptral Tower. After picking an area and floor to explore, as well as Stella’s equipment and who will accompany her as an observer, you can head into dungeons, where the actual exploration parts takes place automatically in real time whether or not you’re actually playing the game. That means it’s okay to leave it be and do other things while Stella goes about her business.

Should Stella manage to return in one piece, you’ll gain items, with a special item awarded for clearing out an entire area. However, if her HP is depleted mid-exploration, you’ll lose any equipped items you gave her, as well as those she picked up along the way. Naturally, given that progressively stronger enemies appear on successive floors, it’s wise to keep on eye on how things are going on each floor with the in-game log. Doing that while experimenting with equipment loadouts will eventually yield much success down the road.

Watch the opening movie below. The game is due out in Japan on December 18.
