As is to be expected, Falcom has pushed out a handful of new tidbits of information regarding The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki II. This time, we get a look at some of the new Link Abilities that you can expect to have at your disposal during battles, as well as two new characters joining the cast. Catch our translation below.
New Top Tier Link Abilities
In the previous Sen no Kiseki installment, Link Abilities were a gameplay mechanic whereby characters’ Partners could automatically trigger support abilities during fights after sufficiently bonding with one another, with Link Ability levels topping out at five per character. This time around, these abilities have been expanded, enabling your party members to learn powerful new moves and become even stronger than ever. Let’s take a look at a couple that you can expect to see in the new game.
- Furious Wrath
When a character’s Partner gets hit, the character becomes enranged, raising their CP by 75 points.
- Hot Pursuit
Damage during a follow-up attack is bolstered by 50 percent. Furthermore, the enemy’s Speed goes down by 50 percent.
- Boost Artes II
A Partner’s offensive Artes is buffed by up to 1.5 times.
McBurn (voiced by Junichi Suwabe)
“Look, this back and forth isn’t getting us anywhere. Just come at me already and get it over with!”
McBurn is Ouroboros’ No. I Enforcer, operating within the Erebonian Empire to put into effect the group’s “Phantom Plan.” Also known as “The Eternal Flame,” while on the face of things he seems to have a listless, devil may care attitude, his power underneath isn’t to be trifled with, said to rival that of Arianrhod’s, the Seventh Pillar in the organization. He seems to have an interest towards Rean’s “beastly power” that lies deep within him, possibly having some insight about it.
Dubarry (voiced by Naomi Oozora)
Weapon: Sword and Shield
“You’ll learn soon enough just how different you and I are as knights!”
Dubarry is the head soldier of Ouroboros’ Ironsides, a battalion under the direct control of Arianrhod. Known for her swift speed that can keep up with even that of the legendary Leonhardt the Sword Emperor’s, she makes the most of this swiftness with her sword fighting to quickly obliterate her enemies, earning her the nickname “Godspeed.” Although fiercely loyal to Arianrhod to the point of adoration, she can become overly emotional rather quickly, which can result in her slipping up and making costly mistakes. For reasons unknown, she harbors a particular resentment towards Laura’s family, the Arseids….
