Microsoft in talks to boost Kinect-less Xbox One performance
"We will have more to talk about soon," exec says.Microsoft is currently in talks with publishers about increasing the graphical performance for Xbox One games running on consoles without Kinect.
Speaking with Polygon, Microsoft corporate vice president for devices and stuios Yusuf Mehdi said, “We are in discussions with our game publishers about what we might do in this space and we will have more to talk about soon.”
Currently, the console’s architecture has a fixed reservation of CPU power for Kinect, as the device is always listening for voice commands or to recognize gestures.
