Atelier Shallie introduces new characters and field actions

Meet Shallistera's childhood friend and Shallote's mother.

Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea

New details on Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea have come out of this week’s Dengeki PlayStation, including new characters and field actions.

Find the batch of information below.

New Characters

  • Kortes (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) – A childhood friend of Shallistela who acts as her guard and has a big brother sort of personality. His weapon of choice is a pike.
  • Nady Elminus (voiced by Aya Hisakawa) – As Shallote’s mother, she accompanies her daughter as she goes about her job. However, since she’s not particularly knowledgeable about alchemy, she tends to take up more than she can chew for her own work.
  • Teokhuga (voiced by Shin Aomori) – He is a shipbuilder who also ends up accompanying Shallistela as her escort. He prefers to address her formerly as “m’lady.”

Field Actions

Certain field actions are exclusive to either Shallistera or Shallote, although some of them can be mutually performed by both of them.

  • Fishing is exclusive to Shallote. By fishing with specially prepared bait, you can get more items for mixing.
  • Dowsing, on the other hand, is exclusive to Shallistera. Doing so can uncover new items that are hidden in the fields.
  • Mining can be done by both characters. As with dowsing, by mining at certain points on the field, you can obtain new items.

Shallote can also exclusively perform something simply described as “cleaning,” although the specifics remain mum. As a side note, each of the girls are said to have nicknames for each other, with Shallistera going by “Stera” and Shallote going by “Lote.”
