That's a lot of butlers in a lot of freezers.

Tomb Raider, which is also known as Tomb Raider 9 or ‘the reboot’, has sold over 1 million copies in under two days, according to an administrator on the official Eidos forums.

The admin posted a thread titled, “TR9 sales hits 1 million after < 48 hours!" The game has also been deemed a critical success by many, as it scored an average of 86 across all three platforms on Metacritic.

Tomb Raider, released on March 5, is available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Well deserved. This really is an incredible game with the only problem being that it should of been longer because it is so damn great.
This is how you do a freaking reboot.

Games will sell even more as time passes by, more and more people are turning into gamers, more and more people buy day 1 games to stream them on twitch or to do playthoughs on Youtube, people make living off of videos of video games and then you have the fans of the series and new commers.

Nice. Eidos just keeps banging out hits for Square Enix. That was a really smart purchase.

Now I really must play this. The previews didn’t sell me, but the sales figures and reviews show it all worked out in the end.

ALSO I have to comment and say nice choice of avatar. :P

        Same to you!

I have a flash of euphoria when ever I see a great game sell well. Rightfully deserved.

same. at first i was a bit worried that it was going to follow in the footsteps of DmC, but i’m glad that hasn’t been the case so far

Well in DmC’s case they took something that wasn’t broken and tried to “fix it”. I won’t open the well known can of worms with that.

With Tomb Raider they had some stiff competition with the action adventure titles of this generation so they had to pay heed to that going forward. I think they’d have lost more if they stuck to the old Tomb Raider formula.

It all worked out because the game is fantastic. Outside of them hyping the almost non existent survival mechanics in the game, regenerating health, and some of the QT events, I had a blast with it.
Then again any game with Metroid exploration mechanics gets my money, oddly enough I hated Other M. ..

well at first i was wary about purchasing it, but my brother loves adventure hunting games(especially Uncharted) so i bought it for him, and the game is surprisingly good aside from a few issues.

plus Amazon offering that Final Hours Edition as a standard edition for Free is a nice bonus!

So does anyone know if auto-regen can be turned off?

  • Elvick

Deserved. Game is soooo good. lulz neg thunb

  • ShinAsura(新阿修羅)

I’m taking my time with it

    Eidos will save SE jajaja

  • Ace

The game is pretty good. It plays like Uncharted except it’s more open world.
