      I concur.
      Love Tales

This is what Vita needs, i don’t see how Sony can keep on bringing ports to Vita and not something like this, sure this is a port but amazingly upgraded and “Tales of” is something rare outside of Japan plus it is a true jrpg.

This is and few other jrpgs + Tales of Innocence R is what would make me buy a vita(since persona 4 golden is already on it) but if the Tales of R games stay in Japan then no Vita for me.

I agree, especially since I don’t think any prior version of the game (on any system) has an English release (I could be wrong though, maybe there is a fan translation of the DS version?).

It seems that English speaking Tales of Innocence fans have a similar problem as well.

I don’t think of remakes as ports, personally. But yeah, we’ve been waiting forever for the localisation announcement, and it’s starting to piss me off…

        • This is a remake, not a port. Innocence R was a port.

          • zakou

Oh i didn’t know that xD thanks, even better lol.

You assume Sony has specific control of the “ports” you mentioned. Beggars can’t be choosers y’know. Though that doesn’t mean they can’t do better to encourage at the very least, localization of Vita titles. Time for Sony to take a page from Nintendo, if the 3rd party won’t do it or rather is unwilling to spend said money, then commit yourself to spending the money. It will only benefit your small but hungry base.

but its not, keep those expectations low.

Edit: Which is sad, because i feel like with enough marketing and a localization, this can push the vita over here.

    • Archvile78

i’d buy a vita for this but sadly IIRC Hideo Baba said the lackluster sale of the Vita out here makes it most unlikely.

  • Solomon_Kano

Namdai’s been bringing us RPGs on console and I’m happy about that, but I’m hoping we’ll see the R games over here as well. I’d really like to play Hearts and Innocence.

  • Locksus

The combat looks quite fun, as it is in all Tales games that I’ve played. Too bad I don’t actually have a Vita so there’s no way I could play this, but it’s something I’d like to have for sure.

    • Dean Winchester

I bet the Vita drops in price WW pretty soon.
I’d recommend snagging it. Its a fantastic piece of kit.

  • Looks WAAAAY too much like Kingdom Hearts!!!

    • tales games always looked like that.

    • Brandon001

      hahah, wat

  • This just may uplift the PS Vita Sales enough!!

    • I also hope so!

The Vita “relaunches” tomorrow in Japan with a lower price, a new color and PSO2, which is huge over there. Then a week later it will have this Tales game and Soul Sacrifice.

I really hope this starts a turnaround for the Vita and most importantly, if it does, that Sony will take a hint and also lower the price when better games reach the west.

  • LordKaiser

Either on Vita or in a PS3 HD collection NB please bring these to the west.

  • I don’t really care if Innocence R doesn’t make it, but really want this localized.

  • Lenne

Ah it has a world map like Innocence R~~
Can’t wait till this arrives in the mail, My Vita needs love.

  • Brandon001

i told myself i wouldnt watch nay coverage on this bc id regret it, and i just did LOL.

  • GetOffMy_Lawn

I’m buying a Vita the day this is announced for the West. (or Innocence R…)

The 3DS is not even two years old yet, but it already is on the fast track of being a JRPG powerhouse, much like it’s predecessor. Since I play almost exclusively JRPGs, the 3DS is obviously the better deal, IMO. If Vita wants to get my attention, as well as the attention of gamers around the world, it needs high quality games like this to be released worldwide in order to compete with the likes of SMTIV and Fire Emblem Awakening.

    Just my opinion.

  • Already preordered this! Can’t wait.
